Prof Shackleton is ACDI Deputy Director. She has carried out extensive research across the African Continent for 30+ years. Her work covers a wide range of Climate Change themes such as community conservation, rural livelihoods and vulnerability, ecosystem services and human well-being, forest product use and commercialisation, natural resource governance and climate change adaptation. As a climate change subject matter expert, she also brings a wealth of experience in higher education management, academic programme development and accreditation, and stakeholder engagement expertise in the field of climate change.
