Isabela Vera is a global development expert with a focus on gender equality and food security. She holds a Master of International Affairs from the Hertie School of Governance and is currently completing a certificate in food security research and policy at Ryerson University. Before joining Paeradigms, she worked with SEEK Development, a strategic and organizational consulting group, on multi-stakeholder strategy projects for multilateral organisations and philanthropies. Isabela also served as head of editorial and communications for the Donor Tracker, a platform for the global development community run by SEEK Development. Isabela was previously a consultant with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Support to the Pan African University in Algeria, where she focused on mainstreaming gender equality in communications strategies, and a programme officer at GIZ Nepal, where she supported program design for an entrepreneurship and technical education project for women in remote communities affected by Nepal’s 2015 earthquake. Isabela is a former magazine editor and continues to write on a freelance basis with a focus on human security and sustainability.
