Hiwot Negede

Hiwot Negede is a young Ethiopian professional, educated in Ethiopia and based in Addis, Ababa. She has more than 10 years of work experience in project management and in the event industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management and Technology System from the University of Addis Ababa and a diploma in Business Management from the Université de Poitiers. She has worked for intergovernmental agencies – International Telecommunication Union (UN Agency) and the African Union Commission – and on consultancy projects and events involving different stakeholders such as the UN, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GIZ, GE and IBM to mention a few, she was also part of the GIZ Ethiopia project. Her key areas of expertise are project management and coordination, project implementation, communication as well as recruitment. In addition to her native Amharic, Hiwot has full mastery of English and French.
