As the co-founder of Paeradigms and a political scientist with a doctorate in International Relations, he deeply understands the dynamics of development geopolitics in Africa and the primary factors driving development change. Dr Walter-Drop is well-acquainted with the current discussions surrounding international development cooperation and the emerging models in this domain. His publications and teachings span globalisation, governance, development, and limited statehood. His insights into international development cooperation, policy, and social development science are further enriched by his comprehensive knowledge of the EU and African institutional cooperation frameworks. His collaborations with African institutions underscore his familiarity with the continent's development challenges. In his advisory capacities, he frequently liaises with development stakeholders and policymakers, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, across various disciplines. Beyond his advisory roles, Dr Walter-Drop is the Co-Director of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate – Academy for Crisis Prevention and Civil Conflict Management (Friedensakademie RLP), a pivotal institution at the University of Koblenz-Landau since January 2019, focusing on environmental conflicts, crisis prevention, and peace education. A multilingual German national, Gregor is fluent in German, English, French, and Polish. His exceptional communication, analytical, and writing abilities position him as a key figure in African development geopolitics.
