Eva Kagiri-Kalanzi is an environmental engineer and international development specialist with over 10 years of experience in climate change, energy, food security, and innovation policy. She has worked across Europe and Africa in private, academic, and third-sector organisations, leading programme development and policy implementation.
Her expertise includes climate change mitigation and adaptation, with experience in grassroots and private sector initiatives. Notably, she led a three-year Climate-Energy-Food nexus programme in Kenya, funded by Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which contributed to research on biochar’s impact on soil health and carbon sequestration.
Eva has designed and implemented strategic business development, policy processes, and international partnerships. Most recently, she managed a Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy programme between Finland, the EU, and Africa, focusing on climate change. She excels in managing complex projects, fostering collaboration, and driving sustainable impact through innovative policy solutions.
