Carlos

Carlos Vargas is a communications expert, specialising in strategic communication, video production, and audiovisual design. He is the Founder & CEO of Kopperkollektive and has over 10 years of international experience in developing communication strategies and media production.
Carlos has worked with continental and regional organisations, including the African Union and the East African Community. He led the development of the Pan African University’s communication strategy and its implementation, including website development and staff capacity building. He also led the consultant team for the EAC-GIZ communication strategy and web portal.
Currently, Carlos supports the GIZ ECOWAS Regional Stabilization Fund (NG) and the African Union Border Programme (ET) in their communication efforts. He has extensive experience navigating complex political environments across Africa.
