Renewable Energy I STEM Education I Youth Entrepreneurship
Shallirosena Mbwette is a Tanzanian energy engineer and STEM education advocate with expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure development, and youth entrepreneurship. She has worked with GIZ in Ethiopia and the African Union’s PIDA Programme, contributing to the development of the PIDA Action Plan (2020–2030) and promoting regional infrastructure.
Her regional experience spans Tanzania, Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Togo, Ethiopia, the USA, and Spain, where she was a first-round qualifier in the IEEE Empower a Billion Lives competition. Shallirosena also participated in the first African Solar Decathlon in Morocco with her JuaJamii team.
She holds an MSc in Energy Engineering from the Pan African University and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Trinity University in San Antonio, USA. She specialises in energy and electrical engineering, infrastructure project design and implementation, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. She is recognised as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T) by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
