Dr Gregor Walter-Drop is a German political scientist based in Germany. As the co-founder of Paeradigms, he specialises in development geopolitics in Africa, international development cooperation, and governance. His expertise includes globalisation, policy analysis, and social development science, with a strong focus on EU-Africa institutional cooperation frameworks. He has extensive experience collaborating with African institutions and advising policymakers, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, across various disciplines.
Since January 2019, he has been Co-Director of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate – Academy for Crisis Prevention and Civil Conflict Management (Friedensakademie RLP) at the University of Koblenz-Landau, focusing on environmental conflicts, crisis prevention, and peace education. His research and teaching cover governance, development, and limited statehood.
A multilingual researcher, he speaks German, English, French, and Polish. Dr Walter-Drop holds a doctorate in International Relations and a degree in Political Science.
