Natural Resource Governance and Utilization | Climate Change Adaptation
Prof Shackleton is the Deputy Director at ACDI, with over 30 years of experience conducting research across the African continent. Her work encompasses key themes in climate change, including community conservation, rural livelihoods, ecosystem services, forest product use, and natural resource governance. Prof Shackleton is also an expert in climate change adaptation and has extensive knowledge in academic programme development, higher education management, and stakeholder engagement in the climate change field.
She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Town (South Africa).
