Dr Patricia Zamalloa-Hügel is a Peruvian-German expert in higher education, TVET, capacity development, and inclusion. With over 20 years of experience in international cooperation, she has evaluated and advised projects across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe, specialising in participatory approaches and results-oriented monitoring.
Her expertise includes gender and conflict-sensitive evaluations, fostering the inclusion of vulnerable groups such as women, youth, displaced persons, refugees, and people with disabilities. She also advises the German Federal Ministry of Baden-Württemberg on community development, with a focus on intercultural affairs and migrant inclusion.
In academia, she is a Professor of Economics and International Relations at Schiller International University (Germany), where she teaches development and North-South politics.Dr Zamalloa-Hügel’s work bridges policy, education, and social inclusion, ensuring equitable and sustainable approaches in development cooperation.
