Isabela Vera is a global development expert with a strong focus on gender equality and food security. Based in Germany, she holds a Master of International Affairs from the Hertie School of Governance and is currently completing a certificate in food security research and policy at Ryerson University. Isabela's career includes working with SEEK Development on multi-stakeholder strategy projects for multilateral organisations and philanthropies. She has also served as head of editorial and communications for Donor Tracker. Additionally, Isabela has consulted for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Algeria, where she focused on gender equality in communications, and supported a women’s entrepreneurship project in Nepal. A former magazine editor, Isabela writes on human security and sustainability.
Isabela holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin, Germany.
